"I shower with all my clothes on. That's how I wash my clothes." May 17, 2011

I'm going to talk more about books today. I know, I know, some of you guys aren't exactly book nerds. But tomorrow I'll talk about... Pokemon. How's that?
A book you would take on a long flight?
Definitely a light read. Something I wouldn't need to put down and think about. Maybe Harry Potter, since I've read it so many times. Or Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Maybe Geektastic, which is a short story compilation about a nerds and geeks. It's got John Green and Holly Black, and it's fantastic.
A guilty pleasure book?
Anything James Patterson, really. He writes a new book every like, three months. I'm pretty sure he's chaining people up in his basement and forcing them to write for him. But, I adore his Maximum Ride series. And The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I know most book-lovers don't really love Dan Brown, and I don't either- but The Lost Symbol was amazingly awesome.
Three book characters you would want to befriend?
I'm going to say Q from Paper Towns by John Green, Angela from the TTYL series and The Colonel from Looking For Alaska by John Green.
What book are you currently reading?
I'm reading Tricks by Ellen Hopkins, and Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
The best YA series you've read?
Well, this is easy for me. Harry Potter. There are endless things I love about those books. I discover something new every time I read them.
Do you read manga? Do you have a favorite series?
I do read manga. A lot of magna. And my favorites change a lot, but currently it's probably Instant Teen. I know, I know. I've never been an action-y type of manga reader. I prefer that in my anime.
What is your favorite book mark?
I actually don't really use bookmarks. I use sticky notes, or the dust covers of books. I used to buy a lot of bookmarks but I never really used them.
Today I saw: Lots of rain. Atlas and I stood in the rain for about two hours, just talking. Good times, good times.
Today I heard: Sarah on Skype. 'Science rave!' 'All the grass in the house say 'hey!'
Today I smelled: Soaking wet clothes and shoes after standing the rain for two hours. Pretty much the only side effect.
Today I touched: Nothing, really. OH! I got an iPhone. So a lot of playing around with that.
Today I tasted: Nuts. In fact, today I had some great nuts in my mouth. Peanuts, that is.
