She kept us calm, even though I imagine that inside she’s screaming.
“I don’t know how to help her.” She sighed as she spoke.
None of us did. But, part of me thinks she doesn't really want it anyway. She’d become comfortable in her anxiety. It was a part of her everyday life. She pushes on, works with it. She’s worked to mold it into something that she can, at the very least, function with.
