"'Did I ever tell you I had a dream where my mom was married to Barack Obama. He made breakfast.'' March 28, 2011

“It’s so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.” - Chuck Palahniuk

Today really made me realise the truth in that quote. Spending time with Gunnar and Austin and Hippo and even Jackie made me realise that even though I'm not friends with 2/4 of that group, they've taught me a lot. Not even from the good memories, but from all the things that I'd like not to think about. Coping with loosing somebody you thought would never honestly judge you takes a toll. But through that process I have learned a lot. Which is saying something, because if you recall, I mention not gathering anything from this whole ordeal.
So yes, I hung out with Gunnar, Jackie, Austin and Hippo today, just after spending some time in Powell-sensei's classroom. I even saw Leslie briefly. So, I saw most of my favorite people, (Stupid Trevor being sick and silly me for not talking to Brendalyn when I had the chance) even at the expense of seeing somebody how's not so high on my list. Hippo and I danced, Austin and I talked, I laughed and vented and over all had a great time. She's not worth loosing my friends or being angry over. She's not worth any of it.
Today I saw: The high school. Whether that's unfortunate or not, I can't say. But it's been absent in my life for a week so I thought it was worth mentioning.
Today I heard: Austin's trurly beautiful new waltz. He's an amazingly talented composer.
Today I smelled: New paint on the music wing of the high school. Over break they redid the carpets and painted a ton. It looks really nice, but as Hippo described it, it's a little 'trippy' Bright and vibrant and crazy. Like the band/ choir geeks I love dearly.
Today I touched: Powell-sensei's tables, more so than usual. He's not particularly happy with them at the moment. And I occurs to me that that sounds like I'm saying something I'm not. He wanted to move the tables in his classroom.
Today I tasted: Pretty much nothing. Some more of those pastries that my step-father made so many of for some ungodly reason. We have so many. So many.

"(948u532)=4920u57+(45x)-84748y-jfnurg isn't normal. But on math it is. Math: not even once" February 21, 2011

So, today was actually pretty good. Hippo strolled off with Gunnar and Jackie for the first part of the afternoon so I spent some time with Sarah, seeing Brendalyn once. AC/DC got fourth or fifth place at state, with Brendalyn getting a gold metal and Maxx getting a silver. Our main opponent didn't win either, so were okay. After a little while I ran into Leslie, and we chatted and looked at pictures. It was nice, Leslie is adorable. After Hippo left Gunnar and Jackie, we took the bus home and had quite the trip, running into the at least foot deep snow piles. Then we got home and Skyped, while she attempted to help me with math, yet I still need more help.
Today I saw: All of the Decathletes walk around the commons confused as to what to do when not at AC/DC.
Today I heard: Leslie's laugh. A much missed one.
Today I smelled: Nothing of note. I suppose I smelt Sarah, which is fairly normal now.
Today I touched: Brendalyn's hand, since she was sitting and couldn't hug me.
Today I tasted: Jello with fruit in it. Better than expected, I must say.

"You're Leslie adorable." February 14, 2011- Valentines Day

So, I am going to explain the quote first. Hippo and I were discussing the compliments we like to receive, and I said "Leslie adorable." Because, Leslie is the most adorable creature on the Earth and it's incredibly flattering, or it is if you know her.
Okay. Back up, Hippo and I had this agreement that we would get boys to deliver our Valentines. Hippo, being perfect, knew to ask Marco to deliver mine. And he did, and it was the most adorable/nerdy/ hilariously awkward thing ever. He handed it to be, and did a thumbs up, and walked away. This was after being told to 'cute.' Yeah, Hippo had to ask Brendalyn to ask Marco, and it was apparently very funny. And after I had had the previous conversation, Hippo went up to Marco and made him say to me "You're Leslie adorable."
Because my friends are better than yours.
Oh, and we kind of trolled Marco. He left for a little, so we took his bag, and moved it. Then he went to where it was, walked around and looked for it, and while he did that, we put it back. Trolololololol.
So, yeah. Good day. Expect I couldn't get Hippo her Valentine, so I have to do it tomorrow, if  can track down Maxx. WHICH I WILL.

"I know about nothing!" Feburary 4, 2011

So, I slept today. And watched TV. Productive. I don't want to blog. I don't feel nice and I guess I'm just dropping out of Gunnar, Austin and Jackie's lives because that's the only way to make it better.
Today as a whole wasn't completely bad. I heard Powell and Brindalyn, as well as Hippo.
Today I saw: I
Today I heard: forgot
Today I smelled: my senses
Today I touched: too late now
Today I tasted: oops. sorry

"Red reminds me of blood. And doom. And the Civil War." January 24, 2011

So, today was meh. I mean, I hung out with Gunnar, Hippo and Sarah. And then with Brendalyn. And then with Brendalyn and Austin. And then I talked to Gunnar. So yeah. Not too much to blog about. But corn is taking over our society. Down with corn.
Side note: I hate Gunnar's name. I know I'm spelling it right. But spell check always disagrees.
Today I saw: The most upset Rosemary I've ever seen.
Today I heard: The Mountain Goats. Awesome.
Today I smelled: Taco Time. Good stuff. Terrible for you.
Today I touched: A lot of people. A lot of hugs.
Today I tasted: These oriental noodles that my papaya makes. They taste AMAZING. So filling, though.
