"You will make da' magics in that" December 25, 2011- Christmas Day!

This year has been a... shaky one.
But, if anything, I've had a lot of wonderful experiences.
I've danced a lot, and sang a lot, laughed a lot, and learned even more.
I'm so thankful for some of the memories I've made this year.
I hate to be cheesy on Christmas, but I can't help myself. I'm cheesy all the time, though, if we're honest.
I didn't get to spend Christmas with my real family, (Austin, Hippo, Sarah and so forth), or my other real family, (Dad), but I had a nice day nevertheless.
Expect more cheesy posts while the year closes.
I hope your day with lovely, Happy Christmas!

"Also, I read 'the hell' as Avril Lavigne sang it." October 27, 2011

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
Dr. Seuss

I'm going to take a break from my horrid NaNoWriMo stress and talk about the people I love.
It's no secret that I'm under a lot of stress right now, and whenever that happens my body goes, "No. Fuck you. Here, have some kidney problems. Oh, and some OCD and panic attacks. And let's through in trichotillomania, and why not some weight loss and sleep-loss. Yeah. That's good."
And I for some reason that I don't understand, my friends stick through this. I know. I guess it's because they're as screwed up as me.
I've been trying to make an effort to tell the people that I appreciate how much I appreciate them more often.
Austin, Sarah, Johnny, Jacob, Powell and the team, Hippo
Ryan, Rissa, Adam, Bailey, Catherine
You care a whole awful lot
I love you so much.
Thank you.
You're my family, and I am so, so lucky.

"You better" October 9, 2011

Day eight is irrelevant, because I'm not writing yet (obviously). So, I'm skipping it and going to day nine.
Day 9 - Have you told anyone else you’re doing NaNo this year? Who? What was their reaction?
Me doing NaNoWriMo isn't a secret by any means. I'll talk about it with anyone, but the only people I actually discuss it with are various Tumblr friends and Powell.
Hippo, Johnny, Austin and all of those folks know, but I tend not to bother them with it. Hippo is super awesome about it though, helping me with characters and such.
Everyone is really understanding about it.
I mean, I'm a huge nerd, and they know I write to it's really unsurprising.
My doctor did have the 'Why, tho?" reaction because I can't really handle stress, and NaNo is a lot of stress.

"Hungarian punch!" May 16, 2011

"Where do writing, plot, characters, and setting rank in importance in a book?"
For me, I really consider all of these things to be hugely important, but the plot is huge for me. I could have a book with characters that I don't necessarily love, but still enjoy the book because of plot. The plot is what makes you start to read a book. That little plot synopsis sucks the reader in, so it's definitely number one for me. But characters are so close to beating it.
I know that, as a reader, it's most hard for me to enjoy a book with characters I don't like. I want to be able to feel for, and at least be interested in all of the characters. Even the ones who do stupid things.
I have a much harder time taking a book seriously, and appreciating it in full if it doesn't have good characters. Very rarely will a plot make up for that.
Next, is setting. Usually, the setting doesn't matter too much to me. You could put interesting characters anywhere and I think that if the book is well-written, it's good. I do like me a good setting, though. Particularly in historical fiction or dystopian novels. When the author takes the time to really and truly create that world, and they do is correctly, it creates magic in a book.
The writing, for me, isn't something I'd generally put on this list. The way it's written doesn't usually matter to me that much. I'm not reading for grammar, I'm reading to read. So, whatever way the author writes is usually okay with me. There's only one author who's writing style has really bugged me.
Today I saw: Hippo. A lot of Hippo.
Today I heard: Lots of cussing, and screaming, and yelling. Mostly Austin. Still love him.
Today I smelled: Pizza. Healthy dinner choices here in my household.
Today I touched: Balazs, a lot. He was wearing a black shirt, and there was lint, and I am OCD. It's just... habit.
Today I tasted: Grapes. So. Many. Grapes. Too. Many. Grapes.

"I understand." April 26, 2011- BEDA- Day 26

That phrase right there, I understand, is the single best thing to be told. When someone goes out of their way to hug you and tell you that they understand, it's really the best feeling. That's why I love my friends, really. Austin and Trevor are particularly good at this.
To change subjects, this week's Glee featured that characters wearing a shirt that showcased their biggest insecurity. We've known about this for about a month, and I think I've finally decided on what mine will say. It's been really interesting to watch people on Tumblr post theirs. A few I've seen are 'Numb' 'Shy' 'Not Girly' 'Green-Eyed Monster' 'Talks too much'
Mine has changed a lot from things like 'Young & Naive' to 'Doesn't know what she wants'.
But now I really think I have it.

"Gave my baby back" April 19, 2011- BEDA- Day 19

I'm tired of this. I'm tired of being mistreated because I am smaller or younger than my friends. Yeah, I'm younger. And maybe that makes me not as smart, or not as worthy as Hippo or Trevor or Austin, but I am a human being. And when you make snide comments to my face with no shame it shows just what kind of person you are.
I know I've made mistakes. I know I lied and I know I fucked up. I know it's not easy for you to to trust people. But I have tried really hard to imagine you complexly, and I would think you of all people would do the same. You don't have to like me, but you need to stop being a hypocrite and and attempt to put yourself in someone else's freaking shoes. I've worked hard to be nice to you. And maybe giving someone the same respect they give you is hard for you, but you ought to try it out.
You're always bitching about people, hating when they talk about you behind their backs.
Maybe you should look in the mirror.
I'm done with wanting to be someone else.
I'm done with all of this.

"YOU DON'T KNOW MY LIFE." March 31, 2011

BEDA, or Blog Every Day April, starts tomorrow. I know I'd be doing that regardless, but I'm going to change it up a bit. In stead of my normal senses, I will be doing mood, listening to, last thing I ate, last thing I drank and what I'm currently reading. This won't last all year, just during BEDA. I thought it might be nice to have a little bit of a change.
Firstly, it is likely that I will be going back home from next Thursday until Saturday for my Grandmother's funeral. While this isn't set in stone, (She's not gone yet) I'm working out getting guest bloggers for those days, and now matter what happens, I promise something will be up those days.
Secondly, today was okay. I did discover that making super adorable noises distracts yourself from the poor things, and that my friends seem weirder the worse you feel. Trevor, Hippo, Sarah, Ashley and I hung out just after I spent some time with Hippo and Austin. That wasn't the last time I was Austin, either. I gave him a hug and chatted with him after going to the super market with my step-dad. Seeing him consistently makes me smile.
Since it's not April just yet, (I've still got half and hour, damn it) I'll be doing my normal senses today.
Today I saw: Powell-sensei! Which was nice. The extent of us talking was Trevor asking him is he jumped off the stairs landing while Powell-sensei was down stairs, would he catch him. Powell-sensei said he's easily break both of his arms, but he'd try.
Today I heard: Lots of cute little giggles and sounds from me and Hippo.
Today I smelled: Hippo's present for being awesome. I haven't given it to her yet, but it smells delightful.
Today I touched: Hippo, a lot. I used her as a pillow/ thing for leaning upon pretty much the whole time we hung out.
Today I tasted: Cookies and Creme Hersey's. Only a few little chunks of the bar, but those chunks were delicious.

"'Did I ever tell you I had a dream where my mom was married to Barack Obama. He made breakfast.'' March 28, 2011

“It’s so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.” - Chuck Palahniuk

Today really made me realise the truth in that quote. Spending time with Gunnar and Austin and Hippo and even Jackie made me realise that even though I'm not friends with 2/4 of that group, they've taught me a lot. Not even from the good memories, but from all the things that I'd like not to think about. Coping with loosing somebody you thought would never honestly judge you takes a toll. But through that process I have learned a lot. Which is saying something, because if you recall, I mention not gathering anything from this whole ordeal.
So yes, I hung out with Gunnar, Jackie, Austin and Hippo today, just after spending some time in Powell-sensei's classroom. I even saw Leslie briefly. So, I saw most of my favorite people, (Stupid Trevor being sick and silly me for not talking to Brendalyn when I had the chance) even at the expense of seeing somebody how's not so high on my list. Hippo and I danced, Austin and I talked, I laughed and vented and over all had a great time. She's not worth loosing my friends or being angry over. She's not worth any of it.
Today I saw: The high school. Whether that's unfortunate or not, I can't say. But it's been absent in my life for a week so I thought it was worth mentioning.
Today I heard: Austin's trurly beautiful new waltz. He's an amazingly talented composer.
Today I smelled: New paint on the music wing of the high school. Over break they redid the carpets and painted a ton. It looks really nice, but as Hippo described it, it's a little 'trippy' Bright and vibrant and crazy. Like the band/ choir geeks I love dearly.
Today I touched: Powell-sensei's tables, more so than usual. He's not particularly happy with them at the moment. And I occurs to me that that sounds like I'm saying something I'm not. He wanted to move the tables in his classroom.
Today I tasted: Pretty much nothing. Some more of those pastries that my step-father made so many of for some ungodly reason. We have so many. So many.

"This is the song of my people..." March 25, 2011

OH SHIT OH SHIT.
Yeah, it's 12:05 pm on March 26. I opened this tab, wrote the quote and disregarded everything else. Which is terrible because yesterday was awesome and lovely. We woke up at Hippo's and we (Hippo, myself, Sarah and Johnny) played Super Smash Brothers until Johnny's mom came and got him. But we were quick to make plans, or rather Austin was quick to make plans with us. He wanted to (And I am not joking) play tag. The children's game, like 'Tag! You're it!" And I was worried because I really didn't want to see Jackie, but she didn't come and I ended up having a great time. Hippo, Sarah, Johnny, Brittany, Austin and me played some pretty intense games of tag. Even two little kids joined us. I did pretty poorly, becoming 'it' twice. After it was all done, Brittany saved me from going to Jackie's for water and we herded the troops down to Safeway and we we're going to get food until Hippo's mom came and picked Sarah, Johnny and me. Then Hippo's mom got us water and I came home and took a long, long shower. I was swore and sweaty, but it was all worth it. You know, I'm pretty lucky.
Today I saw: Many of my lovely, and most amazing friends.
Today I heard: Yelling, sequels and "Pigeon! Pigeon!"
Today I smelled: Nice and cold air as we ran outside and disturbed the children around us.
Today I touched: Playgrounds built for people under 12 years old. We were all too old to be there, but we were probably having the most fun.
Today I tasted: I was going to have a nice apple until Hippo's mom had to come and get us. I'm not complaining, though. I got water.

"WHORE!" March 23, 2011

I'm at Sarah's, blogging on her magnificent computer after an excellent day with Sarah and Johnny. We started at the mall and migrated all the way past the library on the other side of town. It left me full of laughs, and I got some great Thoughts From Places: Home footage. Sarah and Johnny are endlessly amazing. We had sushi, drew, looked at books and saw a couple familiar faces. (My History teachers, Jackie, Austin, Hippo) The afternoon was amazing, and in great competition with tonight. Sarah's teaching me how to play the snare drum, and that's going well. Kind of. I've learned a beat! Some improvement on my part, I suppose. I'm staying at Sarah's tonight, so fun times are in store. As I've said previously, 6 dogs, two cats, two computers, and two good friends can only end in fun.
Today I saw: A lot more of town than I'd usually see on Spring Break.
Today I heard: Lots and lots of groaning and yelling and then subsequent laughing.
Today I smelled: Crepes, at Sarah's. Good stuff, good stuff.
Today I touched: Johnny and Sarah, as to be expected. All of my friends are 'touchy-feely'
Today I tasted: Stale doughnuts. Not a good choice, but I still ate two.

"So long, bitches!" March 15, 2011

Good lord. Half way through March? Already?
Beware the ides of March. Yeah. I should've taken that warning a little more seriously. (As had Mr. Cesar) Today wasn't all bad, I suppose. Powell's back from this two week early Spring break, so we (Hippo, John, Trevor and myself) spent the first part of the afternoon in his room. It was splendid, as always. But it's when we left that it got bad. Me, John, Trevor and Hippo were sitting on the steps, as merrily as could be and Jackie waltzes her ass up. You know, she complains about having to see me but never makes much of an effort not to. I suppose that's noble, no letting me ruin her fun. But she does get the whole school day, plus weekends. Anyway, we sat there for a while, and Rosemary and Austin eventually joined us. And that was okay, I guess. I pulled more than I'd of liked, and I certainly didn't like the stress of seeing Jackie. But I'll live. After a while Merek's brother took John, Rosemary and Austin to Wal-Mart to purchase Pokemon, and it was left with just Jackie, Trevor, Hippo and I.
And it just got worse. Hippo and I were outside, standing, waiting for the bus. It stops for a second, and we walk to get on and the damn thing drives away. Like 'Fuck you guys. We're leaving without you.'
Thus, Hippo and I go back inside and sit with Jackie and Trevor until John, Austin and Rosemary come back. Once they did, I saw awkwardly and read Hippo's Chemistry book until she got upset despite the fact that it's a god damned book, and took it. I don't know why she's so touchy about it. Anyway, I sat awkwardly and Hippo's mom came to get us. And then I thought the day might look up.
Nope. I walk in and my mom is as bitchy as ever. So, I ignore her first comments, and go upstairs to my room. Only to come downstairs two hours later to a half-eaten dinner, because my mother told everyone not to tell me it was ready. Yes, I had to sneak me eating my potato soup dinner because my mom doesn't think I deserve it or that I should eat.
I'm sorry. I'm in a shitty mood, and my esteem for everyone is lower than usual. My tolerance levels seem to be going down the more time I have to spend with some people.
Today I saw: The most glorious sweat shirt. It was Powell's and I am highly jealous.
Today I heard: Glee's Raise Your Glass. Ugh, I love Darren Criss. Even if I hate his character.
Today I smelled: Potato soup. Too bad I had to eat it cold.
Today I touched: Powell's tables. Old, but it's been a while.
Today I tasted: Said potato soup. Not as much as I would've liked.

"My childhood was just raped beyond recognition." March 14, 2011

Afternoon, Blogger. More like night, actually. It's 9:20 but 'Night, Blogger' sounds like a goodbye. And I'm not going anywhere. Not for now, at least. I'm talking to Kristin on Skype after having a rather notsome conversation with Hippo, which has left me just wanting to leave Sarah with my blog. I'm glad you guys liked that, by the way. Onward, today was rather great. Despite the fact that my afternoon was filled with Jackie.
Trevor, Hippo, Sarah and I hung out, with Leslie, Ashley, Austin, John and Alexa joining us. And that was all well and good until Alexa, Hippo, Trevor and I were reminded of a certain Jigglypuff image. Literally, it scarred our minds. But it's Alexa's and I's fault. Hippo and Trevor saw it on accident, were terrified and Alexa and I demanded to see it. I was going to show you said image, just to both put it back in Sarah, Trevor and Hippo's mind and to scar everyone else, but I couldn't find it. Oh well. You should probably be happy about that.
So, of course Sarah, Jackie, and John wanted to see it too. We did, however protect Austin because of this closeness to Jigglypuff. I'm pretty sure they regret it as much as Hippo, Alexa and I do.
After all of that, I went home with Hippo and fell asleep. I suppose that's what happens when you go to be at three in the morning.
Not doing that again. At least for a while.
Today I saw: Austin's magnificent Styrofoam hat. It was literally just a rectangular piece of Styrofoam, that he wore on his head with his government words hanging down the side.
Today I heard: Laughter. Lots of laughter. I love that. I love days when it's me and my friends and we just laugh. Because everything is funnier when you're with your best friends.
Today I smelled: Oh, Lord. I don't even know. My friends? Which isn't to say that any of them smell bad, they all smell lovely.
Today I touched: Alexa, John, Trevor, Sarah, Leslie, Hippo, Ashley and Austin. My favorite people.
Today I tasted: Chips, pretzels, snacks... Healthy choices.

"I'm her, uh secretary." February 28, 2011

Today wasn't half bad. School was terrible, more so than usual. My English teacher is getting on my nerves and I kind of want to slap her with a fish. But after school was magnificent. Jackie and Gunnar are at band Regionals, along with Sarah and Austin. And while Trevor was at a meeting Hippo and I managed to find Alexa and have an absolutely splendid time. This girl who I was friends with in the fifth grade, who moved, (She wasn't a particularly good friend) got a hold of my cell number and when she called I gave my cell to Alexa and she pretended to be my Parisian secretary. Their conversation lasted at least five minutes and was very hilarious. Thus the quote.
And yet the day got better. Hippo and I sat (accidentally) where the track was running suicide laps. Marco happens to be on track. He also happened to run shirtless, along with some other particularly attractive males, who I don't actually know. But they were cuties.
Then we rode the bus and talked about Pokemon with the two other boys on the bus. Same old, same old there.
All in all, better than expected.
Today I saw: Running, shirtless, cute boys. Doesn't get any better.
Today I heard: A birdie hitting a racket. I'm not very good, but I really enjoy badminton.
Today I smelled: Vinillary perfume by LUSH. Lush, indeed.
Today I touched: A not too much. Mostly just me flailing during several conversations between Alexa, Hippo and I.
Today I tasted: Again, not a lot. Boring, I know. But what can I say?

"Teehee" February 26, 2011

Want to know what I did today? Well too damn bad because I did basically nothing. I went to be at like nine thirty last night, but I still woke up just before noon. I watched some videos and TV, talked to Hippo, played Pokemon and Tumbled. My life is oh-so fascinating. Admittedly, blogging shouldn't definitely not be limited to my life. The weirdest thing that happened today (or rather last night) was my dream. So, I was in a definitely LUSH cosmetics store, that was in my English room. It had all LUSH products, but it was definitely my English room. I remember smells of things, and shopping and everything. Just me and Hippo shopping at LUSH. It very well might have been the most vivid dream I've ever had. The sales woman was kind of a bitch, though. She wouldn't cut a chunk of soap for me and when some bath bombs fell she got all angry at me. Oh, self conscious. You are very weird. Very weird, indeed.chunk
As far as everything else went, I didn't feel much better. The only conversation I actually had was about how much fun Austin and Hippo had without me. Because that made me feel so much better after sitting alone all day.
Today I saw: A lot of the LUSH website. I was so tempted to use the remainder of my uke money after than dream.
Today I heard: Pokemon music, a lot. Playing Emerald!
Today I smelled: BBQ for dinner. That I couldn't eat. Awesome.
Today I touched: My keys, as I realised it's 12:07 am and I haven't finished this. To be fair, I started a quarter before the hour.
Today I tasted: Pretty much nothing. Oops

"Just the girl I was looking for!" February 22, 2011

Today was actually rather nice. Spent the afternoon in Powell's room with Hippo and Sarah, saw Austin briefly and rode the bus home. And I managed to get help on my homework. The work was unfathomably easy but my little brain is a worry wart and I always got nervous that I was doing the wrong thing. This happens in class too, especially with Algebra. Even if I know what to do, I worry that it will be so off that my teachers will find me to be mentally incapable and hold me back forever. Because that's what teachers do to students who are perfectly smart and capable now a days. I blame MTV.
Today I saw: Austin, for the first time in a while. I'm actually wearing his GLORIOUS hat.
Today I heard: Rants. Lots of rants. From me, of course.
Today I smelled: The fresh scent of no dinner because Papaya worked late. Yum!
Today I touched: My keys as I actually remembered the order these senses go in. For the first time in a month and twenty-two days I didn't have to back track to remember how to blog. All right.
Today I tasted: The sweet victory of finishing googling the answers my Algebra.

"You can't trust prostates." February 12, 2011

There were quite a few runner ups for today:
  • "I love you, little one."
  • "I like you."
  • "Johnjohnjohnjohnjohnjohnjohn"
  • "Go be saxy, Leslie."
  • "Let us praise the popcorn gods, in order to have out crops be bountiful"
"POP POP POP POP CUYMBA YA YA POP YA"
Things kind of suck. But today was AMAZING. Hippo let me stay over last night and then Ms. Elliot let me help work concessions with Choir. Trevor, Rosemary, Hippo and my two new friends Alexa and John.Plus Austin for some short times. We sang, and dances and sold. And while I awkwardly had to see Jackie, I didn't care. I even heckled Maxx into buying popcorn and saw Leslie. And Sarah's mom. Sarah's mom is brilliant, you have no idea. And while I have a bucket of complaints, I love my friends, I wouldn't trade them for anything. Alas, my feet and back hurt like hell, though. I've been standing for about 5 hours, with maybe two minutes of sitting. Maybe. All worth it. I don't know why I waited until 11: 33 to blog. Oh well.
Today I saw: Pokemon Yellow, which Hippo is letting me borrow.
Today I heard: Some hilarious, new Let's Play videos.
Today I smelled: Popcorn, hot dogs, pretzels, nacho cheese, and Rosemary. (The person)
Today I touched: Candy, Alexa and I worked the candy station. And rapped. She's my DJ.
Today I tasted: Three mother damn soft pretzels with cheese. And candy. And that's about it.

"You're back!" February 10, 2011

Yeah, not a great day. But I saw Austin and that was great. I've missed him so much. While I normally play Switzerland for me, Hippo, Sarah and Ash, he's my Switzerland. I pretty much need him to stay sane these days. And that was pretty much the only good thing. I now that sounds bad, but ask Hippo and Trevor's shirts, which are stained with my tears. I'm looking forward to a weekend alone, relaxing. Admittedly, It'd b better gaming with Austin and Hippo, but that's probably not going to happen.
Today I saw: Austin, clearly. And his new swag, a hat and shoes.
Today I heard: Trevor and Austin play piano. Much missed.
Today I smelled: Nothing noteworthy. Well, actually I smelled Austin. But he's been everyone so far.
Today I touched: Austin. Oh my God. Austin, Austin, Austin. Not that I don't love him, but golly.
Today I tasted: A chip, at lunch. Sour cream and onion. Good stuff

"You're actually really pretty." Febuary 9, 2011

Hey. Look. Compliment. Anyway, today didn't suck that bad. Some parts did, I can not tell a lie. Missed Gunnar, missed Austin, missed Leslie, missed Rosemary. Plus, we tested today, which I actually like. I like the whole testing process. I hate the tests, but the process and the way the day works out is good for me. I like it, dispute my growing anxiety.
I talked to Trevor basically all afternoon. After school in real life, then texted until 8:30. Then spoke to Hippo, saw Gunnar but didn't speak, had to see Jackie twice more than either of us would have liked. Nothing unusual. All I can hope is that tomorrow's tests go well and that I can pry Austin away from Jackie and Gunnar long enough to talk to him. Like that's going to happen.
Today I saw: Some 99 dollar ukuleles that I wanted to have very badly. But, I'm spending my uke fund on Ashley's birthday.
Today I heard: Trevor's relaxed voice. Better than his excited (and admittedly high pitched) voice.
Today I smelled: My soaps, I guess. Nothing new or interesting here, like usual. I still can't bring myself to remove it.
Today I touched: Sarah, a lot. And Trevor, a lot.
Today I tasted: A lot of crackers. Mr. Gass gave me his from his lunch because I was complaining about hunger during the Terra Nova tests.
