Everyone is tired about hearing about 9/11.
But I'm glad people are talking about it. I was so young when the attack took place, and it's always harder for me to conceptualize it than others, because I remember so little of the actual event. I've never really lived in a pre-9/11 world, because at that point in my life, my world was small.
The hard thing for me isn't the event itself, but having to understand it. I have to take in information around me, and it will forever irk me, because it's one of those things that I can't have real opinions on, but I don't remember.
My 9/11 story did not take place on September Eleventh, 2001.
During my sixth grade year, there was a book designed for small children to inform them about 9/11 without scaring them.
And a girl in my class picks it up, and turns to me, and asks me what 9/11 was.
And a girl in my class picks it up, and turns to me, and asks me what 9/11 was.
How do you not know?
And I was actually flabbergasted, because this girl at 12 years old has no idea of the terrorism, or the people that gave their lives for others.

I understand shielding your children, but this, this seemed ridiculous.
Then, I came to find out that almost nobody in my class knew or understood 9/11.
It was completely ridiculous.
I don't know why I'm taking about this, but that's my 9/11 story.
