"Off with your head!" Febuary 6, 2011
I have a headache and I don't feel good. Deal with it Today I saw: Not a lot Today I heard: Glee! Today I smelled: New soap Today I touched: My laptop Today I tasted: Corn on the cob

Bullfighting is the most indefensible type of animal abuse. It is brutal and cruel cowards attempting to hide themselves behind a facade of tradition and art by challenging a hopelessly overwhelmed opponent. Contrary to bullfighting apologists, bulls are normally quiet and peaceful animals, and only react become violent in self-defense, or the defense of their territory. For a number of hours prior to the bullfight, the bull is held in a isolation, without food, water, light or the company of his herd, causing the bull to become enraged and debilitating him both physically and mentally. He begins the fight for his life already wounded and bleeding due to a “decorative” harpoon being thrust into the frightened bull’s back. Bullfights do not pit one brave man against one ferocious bull, but a multiple brutes against a wounded animal, losing before he ever enters the ring.
The matador slams his spear deep into the bull again and again, crippling the muscles that would allow the bull to defend himself. The wounds and blood loss from the brutal spearing are incredible, and destroy any claim that this is a fair fight. Often, the bulls are so thoroughly disabled by this torture they literally crawl or even collapse in an attempt to escape. It is only after the exhausted and terrified bull has endured hours of abuse, crippling wounds and incredible blood loss at the hands of the matador, that he displays his “courage.” The bullfighter performs tricks and humiliates the dying bull, who is barely able stand. Experts claim that the sword should hit the heart or spine and instantly kill the bull. This almost never happens. The best chance the bull has of a relatively quick death is when he is stabbed in the lungs, in which case he vomits blood and eventually drowns in it. Often the bull is stabbed over and over. Once stabbed by the long sword, the bullfighters try to force as much movement as possible from the bull, so he will tear the poor creatures insides apart and force him to go down, where he will only endure more torture. Finally, the bull is no longer able to stand and he collapses in an exhausted heap, completely submitted. Then brave bullfighter, knife in hand, walks up to the exhausted, dying bull to cause more torment. The matador stabs the bull in the back of the neck, and then savagely twists the knife back and forth to destroy the bull’s spinal cord, causing the bull even more pain if he is not completely dead.
